How to Receive the Blessing of Healing
(7 steps)

 1.  Be fully convinced of the word of God in the matter of healing. In Numbers 20:8-12 God told Moses to speak to the rock and it would bring forth water, but instead Moses struck the rock and he was not allow to enter into the Promise Land. In Verse 12 the Lord told Moses the reason, "because you did not believe me…" We must be convinced of what God says in His Word.

2.  Be assured of God’s will. Even the enemy admits to God’s power and ability to heal. True faith is the confidence in the willingness to heal not in the ‘He can’. The Lord has purchased healing for you in His redemption, so it must be God’s will for you to have it. His will is in His word. It is part of the New Testament or Covenant, but if you are to partake of the benefits, you must observe all the terms of this Covenant. We never think of asking "if it be Thy will" when asking for forgiveness nor should we ask "if it be Thy will" when asking for healing. Both are freely available. Is. 53:4-5

3.  Are you right with God? If your sickness has come to you on account of sin, be sure you thoroughly repent, confess or make restitution as far as it is in your power. If sickness has come to you and is being used to keep you from some evil, present yourself to God for self-judgment and consecration and get from Him the grace you need to sanctify and keep yourself holy. Do not let Satan paralyze your faith and keep you condemned. Do not let him tell you that you are unworthy and not good enough to claim healing. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive…" I John 1:9. Do not wait for feelings, believe at once that you are accepted. Heb. 10:22 "Draw near with full assurance…"

4.  Commit and Claim. Having become fully convinced of the word of God (His will) and your own personal acceptance with God, now you must commit your body to God and claim by simple faith His promise of healing in the name of Jesus. It is important now not to "ask" but to "take" or not to "expect" but "accept". You must take Jesus as your "Healer", and not as a future benefit but a present reality. Do not believe that He will do so, but believe He is doing it now and a healing work has begun in your body. Reckon it done, and praise Him for it. Regard it as thoroughly settled, step out on new ground. Close the door to doubt and fear. The more your act of faith is a complete committal, the more power it will have. Ask God to give you special faith.

5.  Act your faith. Because of your faith, begin to act as one who is healed. In Mark 2:11 Jesus told the paralyzed man to "Take up your bed and go your way." He will not fail you but courageously trust Him. It is important that you do not do this on human faith or word. Let your prayer be like Peter’s, "Lord command me to come." The Lord will tell you "Come!" You must hear and see the Lord for yourself. You must ignore all symptoms and see only God or you might sink as Peter did when he looked at the wind and the waves.

6.  Be prepared for trials. Do not necessarily look for the removal of the symptoms. Try not to even think of them, but instead press forward.

You have claimed your health not on your natural strength, but through the life of Jesus, the resurrected power manifested in your mortal body. Rom. 8:11. Read Col. 3:3-4, you are applying God’s heavenly nature to yourself. It is grace. It is the power of the risen Lord! Trials always test and strengthen faith to prove the reality of our faith. Faith must be tested so that when it is shown to be genuine the Lord will give His reward and display it to the whole universe. You and the Lord together will ‘laugh’ at your enemies (demonic principalities and powers). Ps. 2:4 that have tried to keep you sick and even kill you before your appointed time.

7.  Use you new health for God. Use your new health and strength for the Lord and be careful to obey Him. It must be given to God as a "living sacrifice" Rom. 12:1. It must be spent as He would spend it. Do not keep this healing to yourself. You must testify to others. This is not a faith that you can keep to yourself. Use it to spread the Gospel and glorify the name of the Lord.
