| When we come together to corporately worship and celebrate
our God, the lifting up of the banner becomes a visual catalyst to
involvement, enhancing our ability to enter into the flow of praise and
worship.
Banners tell people who you represent and what He is like. Psalm 20 says, "In the name of our God we will set up our banners." Banners with His name make powerful statements concerning His nature, His compassion, and His will for men (Song of Sol. 2:4). As they are lifted up, banners become signaling devices that attract attention and send messages communicating God's purpose and plan. Solomon says, "Who is this as terrible (awesome) as an army with banners?" We are that army. As we lift our banners we proclaim dominion and put the enemy to flight.
